Q: What is your current lead time?
A: Due to a high order volume our current lead time is 2-3 weeks from the point of payment to the time we can ship the order out. This time may vary depending on the size of the order or special order requests.
All sills are custom fabricated to our customers’ specifications. We appreciate our customers’ understanding and patience. This lead time is regularly updated to reflect current order volume.
Q: What if my Window Sills arrive damaged or do not fit?
A: All packages must be thoroughly inspected upon delivery. If a package has arrived damaged or incorrect, a claim must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery to be processed and considered for replacement. When submitting a claim please provide:
Your order number
Detailed images of each damaged/incorrect sill
Detailed images of packaging (whether it looks damaged or not)
If an order arrives with incorrect measurements due to our mistake, we will replace the sills, however we will only replace the exact dimensions ordered originally. Adjustments to your dimensions require a new order.
If your order is made correctly and does not fit due to movement of the wall or incorrect measurements, Solid Surface can be cut, shaped, and sanded just like wood. Use carbide blades and sandpaper to slowly change the shape of the Window Sill to fit your frame.

Samples will be 4×4 (or similar) pieces to show the customer what color to expect when ordering their products and will NOT be fabricated to demonstrate edge type.
Q: Why are the inside corners of the dog ears rounded?
A: Square corner bead dog ears are slightly rounded to protect the product from cracking. All of the solid surface products will form a weak spot at the tip of a sharp inside corner. If a crack was going to form, it would start here. We round the corners to decrease any potential for this to happen. If the rounded corner interferes with the fit of the Window Sill, we recommend carefully scraping away the material from the wall corner to adjust to the Window Sill. DO NOT SQUARE UP THE CORNER OF THE WINDOW SILL.
Bullnose corner bead dog ears are rounded with a 3/4″ bit to fit around walls that have a rounded edge rather than a squared edge. This does NOT change the edge type on the dog ear itself.
Q: How do I order the piece that goes under the Window Sill?
A: This is called an Apron. This piece can work in conjunction with any of the edge types. Simply order the same color and use the “EASED STANDARD EDGE” option. Label the piece “APRON” and this will let us know to finish all three exposed edges. The most common depth/height is 2 inches and length is commonly the length of the inside of the window opening. Make sure to account for the 1/2″ thickness of the Apron when entering the depth measurement for you Window Sill.
Q: What is my order number and where do I find it?
A: An order number is a four digit number that is assigned to each order as they are placed. It is important to know what your order number is when contacting us so that we can quickly and easily refrence the correct order. It is also required to know your order number when filing a claim for incorrect/damaged shipments.
Your order number can be found in one of two places. It is stated at the top of the order confirmation email that you received when you placed the order, and it can also be found on the left side of the packing slip included with every shipment.
